Turn up the heat with this bold and smoky street-style fried rice loaded with crunchy vegetables, spring onion and the fiery punch of KHAOCHI Schezwan flavour. Every spoonful delivers the perfect balance of spice, wok-tossed smokiness and satisfying texture — just like your favourite Indo-Chinese takeaway, but fresher and faster at home.

Ingredients

For the Fried Rice

  • 3 cups cooked rice (preferably chilled)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp finely chopped ginger
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • ¼ cup carrot, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup capsicum, sliced
  • ¼ cup cabbage, shredded
  • 2 tbsp spring onion greens
  • 3 tbsp KHAOCHI Schezwan Sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp crushed black pepper

Optional Toppings

  • Crispy fried garlic
  • Extra spring onions
  • Chilli flakes
  • Toasted sesame seeds

Method

  1. Step 1 – Prep the Rice
    Use chilled cooked rice for the best texture. Break apart any lumps and keep aside.
  2. Step 2 – Build the Flavour Base
    Heat oil in a wok or deep pan on high flame. Add garlic and ginger, sauté until aromatic and slightly golden.
  3. Step 3 – Toss the Vegetables
    Add onion, carrot, capsicum and cabbage. Stir-fry on high heat for 2–3 minutes until slightly crunchy.
  4. Step 4 – Add the Dragon Fire Kick
    Mix in KHAOCHI Schezwan Sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, salt and black pepper. Toss quickly to coat the vegetables evenly.
  5. Step 5 – Wok-Toss the Rice
    Add cooked rice and stir-fry on high flame for 3–4 minutes until smoky and well combined.
  6. Step 6 – Finish & Serve
    Top with spring onion greens, crispy garlic and chilli flakes. Serve hot for the ultimate street-style Schezwan rice bowl experience.
